Dr. Palka Chhillar has completed Doctoral Programme (Fellow Program in Management) from the Indian Institute of Management Indore. Prior to joining Jindal Global Business School, she was associated with Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak and Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Chennai. She has earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from G.G.S.I.P. University, New Delhi. She is a qualified Cost and Management Accountant. She has also been awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2010.
Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the impact of earnings management and capital structure on signaling distressed financial condition of the firms during the firm life cycle in Indian listed companies. She has presented her work at American Accounting Association Southwest Regional Meeting, Doctoral Students Conference (IMRDC) IIM Bangalore, Yale-Great Lakes International Management Conference, Indian Academy of Management Conference, Doctoral Colloquium organized at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad. Prior to joining the doctoral program, she has worked as a faculty with Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad in accounting and finance area. She has also worked as an Equity Advisor with Kotak Securities and managed investment portfolio of the high net worth clients for a brief period of time.
