• Dr. Juhi Singh is working as Assistant Professor in Jindal Global Business School, OP Jindal University. She holds a doctorate in Sociology of Education from Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies (ZHCES), School of Social Sciences (SSS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She has also done her M Phil in Sociology of Education from ZHCES, SSS, JNU. Her master degree is in Sociology from Centre for Study of Social Systems (CSSS), SSS, JNU. She has done her Bachelors in History (Hons.) from University of Delhi.  
  In her M. Phil. work she has worked on middle classes and middle classness in the city of Dhanbad, which has undergone tremendous transformation in the recent past. However in Ph.D. her work shifted towards understanding the shift and transformation of the small city, particularly in the context of emergence of new education economy, which made the city of Dhanbad a coaching hub, bringing educational investments by the individual families into the city and making it bigger, wider and cosmopolitan as well. She has also done a project related to school closures and mergers while understanding the impact of it on the application of RTE norms under new rules and practical scenarios.
