Waychal, Nachiketas

Nachiketas is a Ph.D. candidate at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Prior to embarking on his academic journey, Nachiketas served as the Modern Trade & E-Commerce Servicing Manager at Nivea India Pvt. Ltd., preceded by a position as the Logistics Excellence Manager at Hindustan Unilever Ltd. After transitioning from practice to academia, Nachiketas has delivered mathematics and analytics courses at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ahmedabad. His commitment to advancing the field of predictive analytics and his ability to bridge theory and practice drive him to guide and inspire the next generation of aspiring managers and researchers.

His research interests includes temporal predictive analytics, where he explores multi-objective optimal forecasting, real-time and retrospective change point detection, and forecasting in infinite dimensional spaces. Nachiketas brings experience in supply chain management, including capacity planning, network-routing optimization, and manufacturing systems (Fiat-WCM). His managerial experience also extends to logistics & warehousing, and customer service within the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
