  • Chinmoy Bandyopadhyay is a doctoral candidate at the Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), XIM University, Bhubaneswar. He is currently working in the field of marketing and is in the final stages of his PhD. He also holds an MBA in Rural Management from KIIT University and a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication from West Bengal University of Technology. His dissertation explores how social enterprises position their brands to various stakeholders. Prior to joining the PhD program, he worked at two reputed non-profit organizations as a program officer and consultant (documentation and M&E).
     
    His current research/teaching interests and activities revolve around social enterprise marketing and the intersection of SDGs and marketing. Chinmoy’s other research areas/interests include brand stereotyping, brand activism, social enterprise legitimacy, and social enterprise networking. He has published his research in leading marketing journals such as Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Industrial Marketing Management, and Australasian Journal of Marketing.
