Dr Oleksandr Svitych received his PhD in Political Science from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore. His main research interest is the relationship between markets and social stability, spanning the fields of political economy, political philosophy, and political sociology. Additionally, he is interested in martial arts studies. His overarching research orientation is a critical political economy with a global perspective.
Dr Svitych is the author of “The Rise of the Capital-state and Neo-nationalism: A New Polanyian Moment” (Brill 2022: Global Populisms series). His research also appeared in Globalizations, European Review of International Studies, Review of International Political Economy and The International Journal of the History of Sport.
