Sarkar, Swagato

Prof. (Dr.) Swagato Sarkar is an interdisciplinarity who draws from political theory, sociology and political economy. He is interested in understanding India's state-society relationship, land and rural transformation politics, and the theory of power and governance. Swagato obtained his PhD and MPhil from the University of Oxford, UK, and his MA from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Swagato is the founding faculty member and former Associate Dean of the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy.
