  • Dr. Priyanka Chandra teaches Politics and International Relations at the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), O.P. Jindal Global University. She holds PhD, M.Phil. and M.A. degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University and B.A. from University of Delhi. Her specialisation is on the state, democratisation and political Islam. Her research interests include themes of nationalism, the public sphere, gender, especially women’s movements, with a focus on West Asia, North Africa and more recently, South Asia. Her ongoing research project examines state-society relations and social transformations in the postcolonial state in the context of global neoliberalism. She also looks at intersections of religion and politics through the ideological evolutions in political Islam and its role in the contemporary world. Her works have been published as chapters in edited books as well as journals and online platforms.
