  • Dr. Mousumi Mukherjee is Associate Professor & Deputy Director of the International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHEd), O.P. Jindal Global University. She is the Member Secretary of the Research Ethics and Review Board (RERB) and founding Executive Director of the Centre for Comparative and Global Education (CCGE). She is a fellow of the Society of Transnational Academic Researchers (STAR) scholars network. She is currently as Research Standing Committee Member of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies and prior to this position, she also served as the Congress Standing Committee Member of WCCES for 10 years. She was selected as an Emerging Scholar fellow of the Oceania Comparative and International Education Society in 2016. She has served as the founding secretary of South Asia (SIG) and co-chair of the Environment and Sustainability (SIG), as well as SIG Committee Member of the Comparative and International Education Society. Currently, she serves as the executive member of the Indian Ocean Comparative Education Society and a life member of the Comparative Education Society of India. She has received several awards for her exemplary teaching, research, and community engagement. She was a Fulbright teaching fellow in the United States in 2005. She received the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society Medallion for her contribution to International Education, the Washington Centre Civic Engagement award, and Graduate Women Victoria International Doctoral Scholarship. Her doctoral thesis was a runner-up for the 2016 Gail. P. Kelly award for an outstanding doctoral dissertation that addresses social justice and equity issues in an international context. She was also awarded the University of Melbourne Teaching Certification from their Centre for Studies of Higher Education. She has published many research articles in internationally peer-reviewed journals and edited books. She had served as the Associate Editor of Routledge journal- "Diaspora, Indigenous and Minority Education" for 4 years from April 2015-2019. Currently, she is serving as Associate Editor of the Journal of Underrepresented and Minority Progress published open-access by Open Journals in Education (https://www.ojed.org/ ). Her research interests are in the following areas: Education Policy and Leadership (school and higher education), Inclusive Education, Comparative and International Education, Research Methodologies, Comparative Case Studies, Institutional Ethnography, Global Ethnography, Southern Theory & Global Dynamics of Knowledge
