Dr. Manini Ojha is an Associate Professor in Jindal School of Government and Public Policy of O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to Be University) since 2018. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, the United States in 2018. Prior to joining SMU, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. She received an M.A in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and a B.A. from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
Her areas of research interest lie in the fields of Applied Microeconometrics, Empirical Development Economics, Economics of the Households, Economics of Education, Economics of Gender, and Labour Economics. Her current research focuses on household dynamics and gender differences, domestic violence; health and educational outcomes; as well as the educational value of online learning. She is also interested in addressing questions relating to how government policies affect household and individual behaviour. She teaches courses on Statistics, Econometrics and Applied Econometrics.
