- Raja Bagga is a lawyer by education and has completed their LL.B from Faculty of Law, Delhi University after a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Subsequently, they received an MSc. in Criminal Justice Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science as a Chevening Scholar. They worked for more than eight years at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) in India and London on access to justice issues. Their areas of work include prison reforms, police accountability, and access to legal aid for persons in custody. They have conducted national and Commonwealth-wide research on various human rights issues and worked with state institutions, human rights commissions and legal aid bodies. Their work has been presented before the Parliament and the Supreme Court of India.
