• Professor R Sai Shiva Jayanth is pursuing PhD in Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, India. In his thesis, he investigated the adoption, usage and impact of smartphones in Indian agriculture. During his thesis, he was the JPAL Research for Impact Fellow. His areas of interest are Agriculture Economics, Behavioral Economics, Experimental Economics, and Development Economics. Professor Jayanth has published several research papers, case studies and newspaper articles.

  Prior to his PhD, Professor Jayanth qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary. He is also co-founder and director of two start-ups viz., Cheers Wisdom Pvt ltd and Script Craft Pvt ltd. that use AI/ML solutions in social networking and script writing. Apart from research and teaching, he likes to run, cycle, trek, read, write and cook.
