- Dr. Gurpreet Singh has been pursuing research in agriculture, rural livelihoods, and employment. He possesses extensive experience in the public financing and policy issues of agriculture and social sectors. He has been working with farmers’ communities and policymakers for the last eight years and has in-depth knowledge of various agrarian issues. Prior to his current role, he has been associated with prestigious research institutions and policy think tanks such as the Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability, Centers for International Projects Trust, Institute of Social Studies Trust, and National Institute for Public Finance and Policy. He also held a position of a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) at the University of Cambridge. During his work engagements, he has been responsible in carrying out research and outreach activities, and leading researchers across various states in India. He has published his research work in important journals and books in the field of economics and development studies nationally and internationally such as Social Change, Millennial Asia, Environmental Research Letters, Routledge, Springer etc. He has also been writing on contemporary issues in notable magazines. He is also the reviewer of prestigious journals such as Millennial Asia (Sage) and Environmental Research Letters.
