Professor Shohini is an Associate Professor of Research at the Jindal School of Banking and Finance. She was most recently working at the Esya Centre, a small innovation and technology think-tank based out of Delhi, where she was a Fellow, and leading the legal research team. Her research at the Esya Centre was focussed on the intersection of technology law and intellectual property. Prior to that she was a Senior Resident Fellow at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy at their ‘Corporate Law and Financial Regulation’ vertical, and has also worked for the Government of India as an energy lawyer. She has assisted the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Petroleum, financial sector regulators, and the Fifteenth Finance Commission on a number of socio-economic and legal matters. She is interested in emerging and interdisciplinary issues of financial regulation, with a particular focus on financial stability, bank resolution, gender, and social security legislation. She writes on these issues in a variety of online and print media. She has a Bachelor’s degree in law from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, and a Master’s degree in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford on a leadership scholarship.
