Agboola, Caroline

Dr. Agboola is an Associate Professor at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), O.P Jindal Global University. Her multidisciplinary professional experience cuts across the fields of Sociology, Criminology, and Education. She bagged a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Her Ph.D. thesis is titled “A qualitative analysis of women’s experiences before, during and after imprisonment in South Africa”.

Dr. Agboola has presented academic papers at several international conferences. She is a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA), Criminological and Victimological Society of Southern Africa (CRIMSA), South African Sociological Association (SASA), and Canadian Sociological Association (CSA). She was a National Research Foundation (NRF) Scarce Skills Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and an Open Distance Learning (ODL) Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Africa, South Africa. She serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Agboola has taught courses on Criminological Theories, Explanation of Crime, Introduction to Sociology, Contemporary Criminological Issues and Research Methods. Currently, she teaches Theories of Crime, and Rehabilitation and Correctional Psychology at Jindal Global University (JGU).
