• Prof. Sagnik Das read law at Harvard Law School (LL.M., 2018-19), where he focussed his studies on critical perspectives in public international law and international dispute settlement. He was a recipient of the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation and the J.N. Tata Endowment scholarships for pursuing his LL.M. studies. While at Harvard Law, Sagnik received two Dean Scholar Prizes, and the Summer Academic Fellowship to pursue his research interests.

    Sagnik completed his first law degree (B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons) from National Law University, Jodhpur, where he graduated with gold medals for ranking first in his stream and for outstanding achievements in moot court competitions. He has represented National Law University, Jodhpur at the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup and the Stetson International Environment Law Moot Court Competitions. He has previously worked as a law clerk to Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. Ravindra Bhat (at the High Court of Delhi). He has also worked in the capital markets practice of a law firm in Mumbai, and the international disputes practice of a law firm in Paris.

    Outside the law, Sagnik is interested in classical jazz and art from the impressionist era.
