Ankush Garg recently submitted his Ph.D. at Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He works in the area of game theoretical application in political economy. His research interest lies in studying the how economics participants engage with institutions and how the rules of institutions can be designed to improve the social well-being. In his Ph.D. thesis, he studies how different institutional rules impact the voting behaviour of members of small and large groups, when they are motivated by organizational goals, biases and image concerns. He proposes policies of affirmative actions that can improve efficiency and social welfare.
Prior to joining JSGP, he served as Assistant Professor at PGDAV College, University of Delhi. There he taught course like Intermediate Microeconomics Theory, Public Economics, Public Finance and Economic Development and Policies in India. At JSGP, he is teaching a course on Game Theory to undergraduate students.
