I have more than 15 years of work experience (as a Researcher and Social Worker) in understanding, mitigating, and addressing the effect of climate change/sea level rise/anthropogenic intervention like trace metal pollution issues on mangrove ecology, herb/shrub communities of mining regions and vulnerable human population residing along with disaster-prone coasts and mining settlements.
As a 'Professor', I teach graduate/post-graduate students 'Environmental Science courses and continue my research. I am also continuing my 'service to society' as a mangrove restoration consultant for social organizations in Indian Sundarbans.
My long-term research/ work focus is on Environmental geochemistry, blue carbon sequestration, Environmental Social Work, Disaster management, and Green livelihood.
I have relevant articles in SCI Indexed journals in the related fields in reputed journals like Springer, Inderscience, and Taylor & Francis.
