Prof. Hajara has completed her PhD in 2023 in Psychology from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS Pilani). She is a native of the state of Kerala in India. She has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychologyfrom the University of Kerala, and Master’s in Applied Psychology from Pondicherry University, and in 2018 she moved to Goa to pursue her doctoral degree. Her PhD thesis is on developing a factor model of metacognitive skills in predicting variances in depression and wellbeing on a largesample of more than 1000 Indian young-adults. Despite having an academic background in clinical domain, her current interests are broadly in the topics related to socialattitudes,personality types, bullying victimisation to name a few.
She is a passionate reader of the works of Carl Jung, and her primary focus groups for research are youth and children. She also has strong background in quantitative analysis. She has qualified the “National Eligibility Test (NET)” conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2017, and also holds a certificate on “Data Science: Inference and Modelling” by HarvardX.In her leisure time, she can be found spending time playing video-games, watchingdocumentaries on history and crime, cooking, or listening to Hindustani and West-Asian music.
